Tournament Overview
Join us for the inaugural Foundation Cup, marking the beginning of the Bhanuvara League. This fast-paced 5-a-side tournament brings together teams from across Bengaluru to compete for the prestigious Foundation Cup trophy and a ₹10,000 cash prize.
₹10,000 Cash Prize
The winning team takes home the cash prize along with the Foundation Cup trophy and bragging rights as the inaugural champions.
Tournament Format
Knockout Tournament
The tournament will follow a single-elimination knockout format. Teams will compete in head-to-head matches, with winners advancing to the next round until a champion is crowned.
Match Duration
Each match will be 10 minutes in total - consisting of two 5-minute halves with a 1-minute halftime break.
Tie-Breakers
In case of a draw, the match will be decided by a penalty shootout.
Rules & Regulations
- 5-a-side format (4 outfield players + 1 goalkeeper)
- Up to 3 substitutes allowed per team
- Rolling substitutions permitted during any stoppage in play
- No offside rule
- Goalkeepers cannot handle backpasses
- All free kicks are direct
- Kick-ins instead of throw-ins
Detailed disciplinary rules and regulations will be disclosed on the day of the tournament. All teams are expected to maintain fair play and sportsmanship throughout the competition.
